The Miser

Recognizing the Miser

…And neutralizing him.

You’re a “good” person but you have another side. A secret side. The side you think no one knows about…
This side plots and maneuvers solely on emotions like fear. Usually the miser tries to protect itself, from what it perceives is potential lost, looming, if it allows something to happen that it is faced with; be it position or simply the saving of face.

Dictionary definition: Miser

1. a person who lives in wretched circumstances in order to save and hoard money.
2. a stingy, avaricious person.
3. Obsolete. a wretched or unhappy person.

How It Looks, Upclose

Example: Charlie is considered a good girl, sensitive and sweet. She gives until it hurts for the most part. But when her self interest is threatened, or so she thinks, her initial reaction is to block the threat from happening, and she usually does it secretly. That’s smart, right?

But what if the threat isn’t real, but only a possible reality created by her own mental construct.* Her thought processes, which based on how she feels about the scenario and the players involved, may be inherently negative? Well then, the threat is real afterall. And she will fuel the gloomy energy that she has been building while inbibing the miser. Her misery control will block any good that might have erupted and something more conducive to her energy of fear will manifest in its place.

Always check intentions. They should be good, hopeful and pure and have the energy of wonder and excitement. Trust the universe and allow. It’s true, you may not be able to see what’s coming. But what’s coming will be a result of you. Don’t let the miser in. His gifts are tainted and have the energy of fear.

A short story to illustrate the point…

When Charlie’s miser pops up, she forgets about the spontaneity of the universe, doesn’t consider the spiritual laws in the moment and strums up powerful energy based on her fears. Thereby, unwittingly, creating a negative situation and blocking or hastening the universe’s moves.* Consider, the universe is always lining ducks, so to speak, to bring to a subject what its dominate energy calls for.

Often when we are attempting to protect ourselves based on negative emotions, and we contrive, plot or consort, the result is the opposite affect. Staying open to the universe in each scenario and moving forward in good spirit will always bring good. The opposite blocks energy and stagnates and manifests its kind. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.*
