Self Mastery ~ Mastering Emotions

Mastering emotions

Before the student of self mastery overcomes the tendacy to react to discomfort impulsively, she reacts automatically. Like as with the human body, the breath is automated. When a life situation causes the solar lexus to ache, (As like when a boyfriend doesn’t call) it is a learned distrust in the universe that is responsible for the feeling of pain. the student can see the opportunity for spiritual growth. However, the urge to respond to this stimuli is strong. She reacts based on ideas and beliefs systems, judgements, etc. that have become apart of her programming. This systems of belief is the origion of the pain. A continued reliance upon them exacerbates the painful scenario. However, provides temporary relief from physical symptoms.
The student of self mastery’s work is not in attempting to control the situation, but it is internal. She must surrender any efforts to work the percieved problem out in her head. Surrendering to the pain, being with it and letting it dissolve is where her work of healing must be. healing the pain is where the energy must be spent and not outwards. Not on trying to understand, not on trying to manipulate or control. But on letting go and being ok; remaining open and free.
Although, she understands that this pain is a result of a belief system she no longer has. The programming is deep and must be released allowing for a new cultivation. The belief that either she created this scenario with her very beingness (what she spends her time thinking and doing) or in cases outside of her control, that whatever is happening is ok and may even be ordained. Once she programs a deep trust in the universe her automated response doesn’t drain life force but is healthier and more peaceful. Leaving her open to recieve.

Regular leaches of energy from the solar plexus or pain in the gut caused by relationship dissapointment creates insecurity, confusion, loss of direction and since of self, and loss of focus. The work of deprogramming is ardous and requires great commitment, but is necessary.

Developing a trust in the Universe or God helps to master these lessons.

When the student of life asks to grow. The universe seems to send harder challenges. In the struggle to master life lessons challenges seem to come rapidly and slow down only to allow for distraction and self antagony. But this isn’t a real slowing down. This is an opportunity to master a lesson. The student will live out a drama created by the lower self until she pulls herself up and realizes she has given into distraction and into self antagony. The challenges come hard and repetively. The weak is caught up again and again. This doesn’t stop until the lesson is conquered and a trust in the universe is restored.
